REHEARSALS: We understand that everyone has lives outside of theatre and do our very best to work around every conflict possible, but we cannot stress enough that attendance at rehearsals directly correlates to the success of this production. Starting August 31st, rehearsals will be held on Mondays from 7:30pm – 9:00pm, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6:30pm to 9:00pm and Saturdays from 9am to 12pm. All rehearsals until October 3rd will be held at Starstruck Dance & Tumbling (385 N 1000 W in Clearfield). You will not be called to every rehearsal.

MANDATORY TECH AND DRESS REHEARSALS: As stated before, we totally get that you may have conflicts, but unless circumstances are beyond your control or you’ve made arrangements with the pro team prior to casting, all tech and dress rehearsals listed on the audition form are mandatory. Tech rehearsals begin October 5th and will be held at Everest Hall in Young Automotive Group (613 W 500 N in Layton).

PARTICIPATION FEE: There is a $150 fee in order to participate in Goosebumps The Musical. Payments can be made in full, or $75.00  will be due at the parent meeting/first rehearsal, with an additional payment of $75.00  billed on the first of October through Byway’s Venmo account (@BywayTheatre). This is a shorter rehearsal schedule, so in order to give as much time to bringing the cast together as a whole, each part with a significant solo will be required to schedule two private lessons with our amazing vocal teacher/ music director at a reduced rate of $25 a lesson.

AUDITION PREPARATION

First and foremost, get to know the show! Listen to the music, it won’t take you long to figure out why we chose this show! The Cast Recording is on Spotify and YouTube. You can also watch clips (there may be a better recording out there, but you can check out  this performance on YouTube) and familiarize yourself with the story. If you’re familiar with Byway, you know we LOVE a good story, and this show is ALL about storytelling! Since this will only be the second time Goosebumps has been performed in Utah, we have a unique opportunity to really make this show our own without any preconceived ideas about what characters should or shouldn’t look like.
